Rockhampton is a lovely village 15 miles north of Bristol, 2 miles from Thornbury GL13 9DX.

I will be playing as part of a great line-up including BBC Gloucester presenter and singer-songwriter Johnny Coppin and flautist Nicky Woodward. Doors open at 2.30 with music from 3 – 8pm. Great local food and drink available on site.

In a rare outing with my full band, playing once again at London’s famous 606 Club, celebrating 40 years as the best jazz club in London. Lovely home cooked food and a great atmosphere. It’s great to draw the band – who will be Andy Hamill on bass, Phil Peskett on piano, Justin Woodard on drums and Phil Stevenson on guitar.

Drawing on my West Somerset upbringing and years of walking on the Quantocks, I am playing a segment of this  evening on Samuel Taylor Coleridge curated by Michael Glover, poet and art critic for The Independent. Featuring my own ‘Somerset’ song, another  by BBC Radio 2 award-winning Somerset folk singer Ange Hardy, and a specially commissioned sea shanty on verses from The Ancient Mariner. Date correction!! – Friday 20th November – on TV!

THIS Friday everyone in our house is on TV – Andy (Hamill) is playing live with Eska on the Mercury Music Prize on BBC4, and I am with my band (including Andy – it’s pre-recorded) on The Ayala Show on Irish TV.

It will be on Friday at 10pm on IRISH TV with a repeat on Sunday at 5.30pm.

The channel can be found either on SKY191 for those that have SKY in the UK and Ireland, or for anyone outside the UK and Ireland or without SKY it can be streamed live on www.irishtv.ie (just choose the ‘watch live here’ tab 3’rd in from the left). The full episode should then be available on catch up about a week later.
